Can you take your rental car on the ferry
Ferries do carry vehicles, but almost every rental company in Ibiza forbids taking a rental car to another island. If you do it anyway, your insurance and cover can be voided.

The smart alternative: rent on Formentera
Take the ferry from Ibiza Town as a foot passenger. The crossing takes about 30 minutes. Rent a car, scooter or bike in La Savina. That keeps you insured and saves the hassle. An economy car costs roughly €26 per day in season, with higher prices in July.

Mind Formentera's own vehicle rules
Formentera also runs a summer vehicle limit and a daily permit for privately owned vehicles. Quads and campervans are not granted access permits. If you rent on the island, the rental company handles this for you.
